As you can see, there is no major difference between the .jpeg and the .png. Some of the colors appear a little more crisp on the .png than the jpeg because of image compression. An example of this is the color of the boys face between the jpeg and the png. The png has a lighter tone on the face than the jpeg does. The major difference between the two is the addition of alpha channels to allow for better transparency. This is not apparent in the photo. However, the .gif format looks a little ruddy because, while it too allows for transparency, it only allows the use of 256 colors; .png and .jpeg allow for a greater number of colors (I think somewhere in the millions).
